One of the Tibia fans found a way to identify all people using the bot. He shared his discovery with the creators of Tibia.
How were botters found?
- All users use the same virtual machines not allowed by BattleEye
- All IP addresses from bot users points towards this cloud company:
- Each virtual machine has automatically default settings, e.g. computer names, components
Original thread about - how delete all CloudBot users, is here: https://www.tibia.com/forum/?action=thread&threadid=4799895
On the bot page many people complain that their character has been deleted. Despite many simplifications introduced in the game, it still takes several years for the character to reach several hundred levels. Deleting a character in this case is really bad for the player.
Fortunately, the problem with bots in Tibia is not as great as it was a few years ago, when 40k people were banishing monthly. Now it is quite calm. The zero tolerance policy and the implementation of BattlEye have virtually eradicated bots from the Tibian world. Of course, there are cases of chitting, but it is difficult to call it a scourge.
