Why you shouldn't worry about details when building ots?
Creating a server can take one day to three if there are any problems and this almost always happens. Something does not work as described in the guide and then you need to seek help in Google.
On the internet and on our Forum you can find many packages with a ready map, server, database. Such sets are a quick way to launch ots. Of course you have to configure some things like skills experience points etc.
However, if you would like to offer something unique or redo a map or website, it may take a considerable amount of time. The best solution would be leaving larger projects of improvements or modifications a little later, if you do not have the appropriate knowledge and experience in programming.
If you are counting on profits and you think that ots modifications will allow you to earn large amounts of money, it will most often be a mistaken assumption.
Today, before introducing a product or service to the market, companies carry out extensive market research. In the sphere of building ots, such a study will be to create a server as soon as possible and check how many players will be played on it.
We don't want to spend hours creating modifications and improvements when it finally turns out that nobody is playing on our server.
A great example is the medivia server, which has been popular for a long period of time. This server is completely modified, from animations and graphics to the implemented system. To accomplish this, thousands of hours were probably needed for many people. Before the coronavirus pandemic, the server was empty.
On average, the server’s popularity is just a month. Without advertising, streamers, more interest at the beginning we do not do much and the number of players will drop drastically.
So start acting and pay no attention to details or underdevelopment.
Marketing issues and player encouragement will be the topic of the next guide.
